Networking Events – Week of March 24

Health Law Speed Networking Event
Tuesday, March 25, 5:00-7:00 p.m., Room 414

Co-sponsored with the Health Law Society
Attorneys holding various positions in the health law field have been invited to meet with students interested in learning more about the opportunities available in this area.  The following attorneys are planning to attend:

 Speed Networking with the Women’s Bar Association
Wednesday, March 26, 5:00-6:30 p.m., Room 414

Students will have the opportunity to meet attorneys working in various settings and practice areas.  Nicola Henry-Taylor (L’96) will offer keynote remarks and participate in the speed networking.  Other attorneys planning to attend are as follows:

Law Night at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
Friday, March 28, 6:30 p.m. Dinner/ 8:00 p.m. Concert, Heinz Hall (Downtown)

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra has organized the Third Annual Duquesne & Pitt Law Night – an evening of networking and music!  A cocktail reception and dinner with local attorneys and fellow students will be followed by an “American Fanfare” Concert.  The Law School will purchase our students’ tickets.  (Tickets include dinner and the concert.)  Tickets must be reserved by signing-up on DuqLawConnect (Events tab) by March 20, at 5:00 p.m.  Additional tickets may be purchased for guests at a cost of $45/ticket by calling Erin Lynn at 412-392-3324.

You’re Invited to the ABA Young Lawyers Division Spring Meeting

Law students, you have a unique opportunity to attend the ABA Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Spring Meeting this year that will be held in Pittsburgh from May 15 – May 17.  Our Allegheny County Bar Association YLD has been selected to host this conference that brings together attorneys from across the country.  Programming for the conference includes The Business of Law, Diversity & Inclusion, Ending the Bullying Epidemic, Ethics & Professionalism, Trial Skills & Dispute Resolution, and Practicing Sports Law in the 21st Century.  Conference attendees may attend special networking events as well.

Registration is free for law students, but you must register at www.ambar.org/yldspring.  The conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel downtown (107 6th Street).  If you plan to attend, please let the CSO know by sending an email to comas@duq.eduConference flyer.
