The Allegheny County Department of Human Services (http://www.alleghenycounty.us/DHS/index.aspx) will present a program about three exciting opportunities available to law students:
*the Scholars in Local Government Fellowship, a one-year, post-graduate fellowship with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services;
*internship positions in the DHS support and program offices;
*The Local Government Case Competition, an intellectually challenging way to explore opportunities in local government & network with other local students, employers and community leaders.
With a budget of over $900 million, DHS is a broad umbrella organization responsible for publicly funded human services in Allegheny County, including mental health services, at-risk child development and education, services for older adults, and much more.
