Women’s Bar Association Events Open to Law Students

The Executive Committee of the Women’s Bar Association is pleased to announce that it will honor Nicola Henry-Taylor (L’96) as the recipient of the 2015 Susan B. Anthony Award, which will be presented at a reception on February 17, 2015 at the Omni William Penn, from 4:45 to 7:00 PM.  Please plan to join us as we honor Nicola for her dedication to professionalism, equality and promoting women in the profession.  All law students are invited to volunteer at the event by working at the registration desk; you are welcome to attend the entire event as well.  Please contact Maria Comas by February 10 if you are interested in volunteering.

RESUME SEMINAR IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE SUSAN B. ANTHONY AWARD RECEPTION – FEBRUARY 17

The WBA is holding a Resume Seminar to help law students, newer attorneys and anyone wanting to have a top notch resume.  Topics covered will include how to put your best foot forward, do’s and don’t’s for your legal resume, and things you should be doing to build your resume for the legal career you desire.  The seminar is being held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at the William Penn, Allegheny Room, immediately before the Susan B. Anthony Reception.  Presenters include Jacki Herzog (L’07), Legal Recruiter, Clark Hill, PLC, as well as Dianne McClelland, McClelland Legal Search.  Law students and attorneys are welcome and there is no cost for the seminar.  Please register by email to mpierson@zoominternet.net or by calling the WBA at (412) 429-1922.  You do not have to attend the award reception in order to attend the resume seminar.
