Students are invited to meet members of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s (ACBA) various affinity groups at the 7th Annual Law Student Diversity Reception. The event will take place on November 3 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Koppers Building (436 Seventh Avenue – Downtown). You do not have to be a student member of the ACBA to attend. All students are invited to attend the 6th Annual Judicial, Government & Public Interest Law Reception on October 18! The reception will take place in the Power Center Ballroom from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Students may attend as much of the event as their schedules permit.
You’ll meet judges and attorneys who work in government agencies and public interest law organizations, and you’ll learn about externship, clerkship, pro bono, and career opportunities with their offices. We’re expecting more than 60 judges and attorneys to attend, in addition to our Clinical Faculty who will tell you about the various Law Clinics. See attached list for a current list of participating employers.
This reception is open to Duquesne Law and Pitt Law students.

sue’s run4 kids is coming up! It’s on Sunday October 9th in Schenley Park and includes a 4-mile race, 1-mile kids race and 1- and 2-mile fun runs and walks. We will also have our fantastic pre- and post-race party at the Vietnam Veterans Pavilion with Magician AlMazing, face painting, Volunteer Princesses, the musical stylings of TK the DJ, delicious FREE food (including Bruegger’s bagels, Starbucks coffee, wraps from Smallman Street Deli, Outshine bars, and Eat ‘n Park smiley cookies), family-friendly games and activities, and a raffle with prizes you actually want to win (like a $3500 necklace!!)! All proceeds go to helping teenagers in the foster care system through the Lipman Youth Fund at KidsVoice.
